They were on the land between the farm my friend lived on, and the perimeter of the Aeorodrome.
When I was little, my friends and I would climb down and explore, a good job our Parents never found out, it would have worried them sick!
Some were part filled with water, and in the spring we would climb down and while one watched ,the other would dip a bucket in and get out all the tiny froglets that had hatched out there. As an Adult I can see just how dangerous that was, but at the time, it was just fun.
I remember the Farmer kept Pigs in one...although obviously not one with a ladder! | |
