Not the right time of year to hatch chicks, and this one managed to sit on eggs without me knowing, only one hatched, and all the Silkie hens take turns in Mothering it. It isnt a Silkie chick though, its a Cream Legbar, but they don't know that....

we've had a muscovey cross sitting on eggs in the hedge for over 4 months, you can't tell her they're sterile! mind you that's better than pee pee, she brings us rotten eggs and drops them by the door!

Pee Pee's only being thoughtful...or else she's trying to tell you something. Does the one in the hedge stay on them all night? What about Foxes..

Lisa, there'll be some more shots of him in a couple of days...He's turning out to be a bit of an explorer, nips out of the tiniest holes in the fence...spend my time trying to catch him...

My hens just don't want to be mothers,
Three years in a row without a broody.
Lucky I've got the incubators.
