Me in Malc facing the demolition site which is the old Ryde MOT place. The place, in fact, which called me up at work about 2 years ago demanding I 'come and remove my vehicle from the forecourt' as it had failed it's MOT so badly they weren't prepared to touch the thing.

WELL WHO'S STILL GOING, SUCKERS? Malc and I will drive past the dole queue dropping oil and choking these so called unemployed mechanics with fumes as they rue the day they ever dissed the orange bug....

You should have a word with my dad. You would not believe the grief he is giving me. He thinks the ukumobile will fail its MOT because there is some rust on the discs. He has already prepared a contingency plan for me in case the garage confiscates it for being too unsafe to drive.

Bloody hell. My first beetle failed on so much they wrote everything down on 2 sheets of lined A4 paper. When I called up and innocently asked if it had passed they said no and that it would be easier to tell me what it HADN'T failed on. They didn't confiscate it despite the brakes not even registering any slowing down of the rolling road they tested it on :)

Ohhhhhhh, you GOTTA get a camper. I had a VW Camper for a while and I really miss it. The sliding door fell off when we were out in town so we bought loads of washing line and tied it on by winding the rope around the handle and other bits and then winding it around the entire body of the van a few times. Sigh, you gotta get a camper van, it's soooo fun. I say pft to yer Dad's negativity!

I can no longer afford one. But I did get a lovely VW Camper Eggcup with a removable surfboard salt cellar. So now even my chucky eggs and soldiers are cool.
