St Mark's Campanile (the bell tower of St. Mark) -- Venice, Italy

This bell tower's wooden spire was damaged in a fire in 1489, and then was further damaged in the 1511 earthquake. In 1902, the tower collapsed. It was completely reconstructed by 1912 exactly as it had stood before, and was also built from some of the materials from the collapsed structure. Remarkable, huh?
