It's certainly unusual to get snow in April - maybe the odd shower of hail but not snow on the ground. Being Sunday morning (so later out of bed than normal) and bright sunshine when we did surface, I think it might have been quite deep. This was 10.30am and a lot of it had melted already. Even in the heart of winter we rarely get more than a couple on inches - thank goodness!
