The reverse side of the flower shows that two and a half petals are red - there have never been any red flowers on this plant in the three years I've had it!
Amazing hibiscus blossom! Funny how that colour thing works. I have spirea plants that had only white blossoms when I bought them 15 years ago, and they continued to produce only white blossoms for first ten or so years.. For the last few years though, about half of the blossoms on each of the plants have been white and the other half have been pink.
