photoshop bw wedding groom

(I don't normally do this kind of thing, but...)

I want your opinion on this heavily edited shot of the groom. The background was concrete block, bright white, and there was a heavy shadow from the flash marring the original photo (check out the previous upload on my page to compare the two photos).

All I want to know is if you think this is too much Photoshop. I kept the edit in both black and white and color, but I think this one works better with all of the changes.

If you have the time, leave me a comment. If it is too much editing, it won't make it onto the final cd-rom and prints...

I think this one works better too - in the colour version there is too much extaneous background and it also looks as if he has something dripping from his nose :)

THis is the one......I think it brings to focus his nervous smile....Now remember this is the opion of a woodworker not a photographer......It just looks right..

I like this black and white better because of what "cleftref" about it removing the clutter from the back ground and besides black and white photo of weddings are great.
There is a but though, the back of his head blends into the back ground to much. But then maybe on your monitor with the full sized picture that isn't so.

Maybe to critical and to late since you posted this Thursday.

definitely use this one! he has a wonderfully happy look on his face that your attention is drawn away from in the unretouched version (too much shadow, texture, etc.) (in my humble opinion, of course:)
