Camera: DiMAGE Z1Aperture: F2.8 Shutter: 10/400 sec Focal Length: 38mm ISO: 160 Flash: No (Turned off) Here's the subject of the last photo- a (weathered and damaged, or did Rex get a hold of it and chew on it, so its soon to be disposed of- but I digress) garden gargoyle statue, getting blasted by the moisture laden exhaust coming out of my furnace vent on Saturday. These photo were shot near sunset when the temperature was around 6ºf, or around -14ºc.
The blue coloration in these photos wasn't enhanced- for whatever reason, my Minolta decided that the available light was that dark a shade of blue (it really wasn't, but it works for the foggy scene so I didn't tone it down either).
And yes, that is a coil of cable television wire wrapped around the exhaust tube. It isn't hooked up to the cable junction box in our basement right now, but it will be once the weather turns warm. We watch plenty of baseball games and other programming on our patio when the weather is nice. Can't beat a quiet evening with the wife (and the mosquitoes) on the patio in the summertime... | |
