hello, frajmag! :))))) I was safe on the walkway of our flat! In fact I climbed a few years ago over the railing and set foot on that roof. It is the roof of a supermarket. (I'm to stiff now:(
I have also fear of heights....

Nothing can happen, friends as long as you stay not to near at the edges. It is a very large roof.and there is no gape beween our walkway and the roof.
It happened several times though children played on that roof....they were visiting the grandparents and as children are they get bored in a room with adults so they are probably sent outside. Told to play outside. Two sides of that roof are unprotected...no railing. From the window in my pc room I can look outside and I have been terrified by this. When I went to the walkway and called them, telling them how dangerous it was they just giggled and laughed. The boys are worst, they are so adventurous......they don't see the dangers....
and each time I was at the point of trying to find out in which appartment the grandparents lived I heard the parents call from the second floor...I live on the first floor.
Those children must really have had guardian angels!
Last year and this year it was quiet. People died or moved out and were replaced by singles. What a relief!!!
