The "Basilica of Sainte-Anne de Beaupré" (Neo-Romanesque in style) located in Quebec - Canada.

The focus of pilgrims to Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré is not the architecture, but the miraculous statue of St. Anne. Carved from a massive single piece of oak, it is painted colorfully and wears a gold crown with diamonds, rubies and pearls. Anne is shown carrying her child, the Blessed Virgin Mary.

I'm not Catholic, and not terribly religious. I was diagnosed with small cell lung cancer. My friend & I went to St. Anne's because of the beautiful architecture. She made me pray about the cancer & to make her happy, I did. It's now been 6 years since my diagnosis (only 5% make it to 5 years), and I'm still here, so who knows! I just think the building is beautiful.
