Sunrise Pano 1
This is a continuation of my experimentation on panoramas.

For these two panoramas I tried out Autostitch:
http://www.photo-freeware.net/autostitch.php which DonnyG suggested. It doesn't work directly with Macs. It is a Windows program.
I was, however, able to get it working well on my Mac with CrossOver Mac. So it appears that if you would like to use Autostitch on Mac and Linux as well it would probably work.

I took the pictures for these panoramas last week Sunday when I had to do an early morning airport drop-off. I'm not usually up that early so sunrise pictures are harder to come by for me. Nonetheless, the mix of clouds and sun were more compelling than the competing thoughts of going to sleep.
I am impressed with Autostitch. It is quite automatic. There are settings you can change but the default options (except maybe output size) seem to work just fine. Just choose the photos to stitch. Tell the program to stitch. Then wait a few minutes (longer if your computer's slow or you have a lot of pictures) and it makes you a new panorama (sitting in the same folder as the original photos).
Easy, quick, and rather good results without much of any blending issues. Of course, it helps that I put the exposure on manual this time so the light/color stayed more consistent.
