It's Sunflowers time in Thailand, Roadiepig. They'll bloom in the beginning of winter (it's 25C in winter!!!) and this year it started from the beginning of Nov. until in the middle of Feb. 08.
I took pics of them from Saraburi province which is in the central part of the country and it's only 107 km. from Bangkok. There're many plantations in Saraburi and a province nearby.

Normally we can grow Sunflowers for all year but the best time is in winter. There're also lots of wild Sunflowers blooming in this time of the year but only in the north. :))

Great information- they only get one crop a year here. Many farmers plant quick growing sunflowers right after they harvest wheat (which was planted in late fall the previous season, overwinters, and grows to maturity in early summer- that way, they get two crops out of their field in one season.)
