10 seconds before the 4th overzealous security guard of the night tried to move us on .. again.. I tell you kids. owning a tripod in London marks you out as a certified public nuisance.
I am not sure I get this. Is it not allowed to take a photo using a tripod ?? Do they see terrorists all over or what. Please explain in simple terms ( just for me please )/B
On Amsterdams trainstations, setting up your tripod is enough to identify you as a potential terrorist. The (railway)police demands you to hand over the film (on train stations I stricktly shoot digital ;) unless you have showed them in advance a permit from the railway company for that specific day and train station (the permit also states exactly what you are about to capture and about 9 security & police departments receive a copy of the permit as soon as it is granted. Still you are obliged to show it to the railway cops before you start shooting. On the other hand, in 3 years they never noticed me capturing the sunset with my tripod on one of the outside platforms. When I started to capture longexposure shots on an inside platform they popped up from all sides in minutes
