I like this - I can blow it up to full screen for my desktop without really losing any detail!

Not sure what it is - looks like some kind of gossamer-thin man made material but the pattern looks organic like a butterfly wing. Curious. Give us a clue.

You got it, it's the first in my butterfly wing macro series. The problem? can't get the bastard in focus using full frame macro with a decent depth of field. And I need the sun back, artificial light doesn't cut it.
