Wild fire out my back door today. All is under control, BLM will be there all night watching for flares. My fireman is home safe and sound. Don't much like it when they are this close.
your right ..i would be scared to with a fire that close !
great catch of a firefighter aircraft ..i always thought they use much larger aircrafts for it !!
Hans, unfortunately many of the big tankers have crashed, and the numbers are way down. These single engine air tankers, really were best for this job, they could get in and down close, where a big tanker could not have. I am not sure how many of the big tankers are left. We just lost 2 here in Nevada June 3.
