Memphis waterfront(Mississippi river) at night, December 11, 2006

Thank goodnees for small tripods - I put my camera on the window ledge on our 12th floor window on a small tripod to avoid interior lighting.
I picked up an inexpensive 8" heavyweight(for DSLR) tripod in Houston for less than $20! it even expands to 40"! Thank you CompUSA.

I finally finished preliminary work on my new website:
http://www.PhotoStudioOnline.com (my thanks to http://www.fotothing.com/ButterflyShutterfly/ for the resource leads)
Please check it out and I welcome any constructive criticism!

I want to wish all my wonderful Fotothing friends a safe and wonderful Holdiday season.... and for those that celebrate it a very Merry Christmas!

Great photo .. i guess a tripod would help me .. I'll wait until I get a Digital SLR I think so I get a tripod to suit it .. or are they pretty generic ?

Midworlder - tripods are generic in terms of attaching to the camera. You can spend anywhere from $10 - $400 for one. My best suggestions are to get one that is sturdy and not too light(wind). If you "cheapout" here you will one day regret it, but it doesn't have to be the top of the line either.
