for those of you that don't get Consumer Reports - this is the latest report from their labs with ratings of All-In-One printers (print, scan, copy and/or fax)
Consumer Reports is owned by Consumers Union, a nonprofit organization that accepts NO advertising, and is (at least in theory) completely non-biased. There is even a cap on contributions by individuals it's very important that they keep in showing that no one special interest influences their testing and rating.
I posted this (without permission - but with complete attribution and credit) for those of you wondering about what printer might make a good choice for you, and an often over-looked but very important aspect - cost of printing photos.
As you can see from the cart, the lowest cost for a 4x6" photo is $0.20 - a cost in the US you can spend and get one-hour processing (or even as low as $0.12/each) for mail order prints.
Hope you find this of help, and even decide to subscribe to CR to help support an organization that not only produces high quality testing and unbiased reporting but can save you money and aggravation.
They print a comprehensive "Annual Auto Issue" (April) and an "Annual Buying Guide" (highlighted key products tested the previous 12 months) . | |
