View on the way home from the train outing. Highway 44 cuts across the state of Missouri and has these beautiful vistas of rolling hills and valleys, outcroppings and stunning foliage just growing out of the side of cliffs.
In this photo, we are near the area where Six Flags (used to be 6 Flags over Mid-America) is located.
A piece of trivia - the naming of the Six Flags amusement parks stems from the fact that the state of Texas had 6 different flags fly over it - including when it was its' own country.
