Old sign on Historic Hil in the Zoo

St Louis Zoo http://www.stlzoo.org/
Named #1 Zoo in America by Zagat and Parenting Magazines

Since its very beginning the Saint Louis Zoo has been a leader in exhibit design. With the World's largest walk-through bird cage built for the World's Fair of 1904 and the open moated bear pits built in 1921, the Zoo combined good animal care with natural settings.
In the 1920's the Primate House, Bird House and Herpetarium were builrt on Historic Hill in Spanish-style architecture, with elaborate architectural details and open atriums filled with tropical plants. Even simple exhibits like the woodsy Chain of Lakes or the rocky burrows of the prairie dogs give vistors a unique glimpse of nature.

Have a great week!!!!
