Our church was blessed with a special visitor on Sunday from Thailand. She is the mother of a regular vistor, and attends a Christian church in Thailand.

She was most intrigued and very impressed with the tool that the acolytes use to light and extinguish the candles. We asked her if she wished to light the candles in our service and she was thrilled. Christopher(my 23 year old special needs son) walked beside her and helped up and down the steps. He also assisted her on the "finer" points of being an acolyte. I was very proud to see how gentle and discreet he was.

We asked her if she wanted a picture to take home so I was happy to oblige!

It must be a very touching occassion for the 3 of you: the guest who lighted the candle, your son, Christopher, for assisting her, and you, the proud father, looking at how gentle your son is!
