A picture for this special day, I know in Ireland we are not great at recognising those that sacrificed so much for us to be here today, but i wore my Poppy with pride today.

This news story really touched me and so sums up why we will alway's honour those who gave the ulimate sacrifice in the hope that we will never have to go there again

When i was young my parents runned a Hotel and every year we had special Remembrance services for all the soldiers who had fallen in WW II. A lot of (mostly Canadian) veterans came to the Hotel and were all wearing a red poppy on their suits....
This is the Canadian War Cemetry in Holten- Holland. I lived about 20min walk from here......
