I can see the brick mason paid particular attention to get the "runs" perfectly level!! I'm actually thinking this brick wall might have been 'plastered' over for some reason not now apparent. One row of the bricks are placed differently than the others, so it was probably a fancy wall at one point in time. Is it a very old cementary Peter? Old in my country is two hunred years!
Thanks Larry, the image might be a bit deceiving in that it's not a wall, but rather a curved cover to a tomb. It was plastered over, and I suspect this was done some time after it was originally built. I say this because I have seen other's that are not plastered at all, indeed, only very few are plastered. It would be about 200 years old, but I have seen other cemetry's where the tomb's date back to the 15th century.
