Petermosull's Fotothing

As Hans pointed out on my previous post, the Liberty Ships were built from pre-fabricated metal sheets that were welded, not rivited as had been the case before. They were built mostly using female labour after a sustained campeign by the American war dept. to employ women to replace the shortage of men due to so many having joined the armed forces.

On the dock where the Liberty Ship of my previous post was a replica of the campeign poster with a cut out for the head, so myself and Steph just couldn't resist the photo opportunity to become "Rosie The Riviter".
