This small church was built in the grounds of what was the Kerry County Hospital. When a new modern hospital was built, and opened in 1980 Kerry County Council aquired the old hospital buildings and the Church to build new, modern office's and it was planned to demolish the Churh. Thier was a huge outcry of protest from the people of Tralee, so many of whom had been baptised, Confired and married there. Kerry Co. Council and the Bishop of Kerry had no choice to to reverse thier decission and the beautiful little church is still in use today.
