My belated entry to this theme:
My patriotic feelings include that I am proud of the Swiss Henri Dunant, founder of the Red Cross !!
He participated in Geneva in the founding of the International Committee for Relief to the Wounded, refers to 1876 as the International Committee of the Red Cross . The first Geneva Convention was ratified in 1864 and refers largely to its proposals. He obtained with Frédéric Passy the first Nobel "Peace" in 1901 and is thus considered the founder of the Red Cross International.
