These days I shall send pictures only of my archive..... ;~(((

Btw. Yesterday I went for a X-ray which showed that my right ankle isn't broken. It's the fibula which has slipped away of its normal position. This week I will know if it needs an operation.According to the Clinic's doctor it isn't the best way but it's the orthopedist who will decide Thursday !! As I am allowed to move only the strict necessary I have to do myself an injection against phlebitis....

"The fibula or calf bone is a leg bone located on the lateral side of the tibia, with which it is connected above and below. It is the smaller of the two bones, and, in proportion to its length, the slenderest of all the long bones. Its upper extremity is small, placed toward the back of the head of the tibia, below the level of the knee joint, and excluded from the formation of this joint. Its lower extremity inclines a little forward, so as to be on a plane anterior to that of the upper end; it projects below the tibia, and forms the lateral part of the ankle joint"

Oh dear, sounds like a complicated injury, Ruth. Not sure if this is better or worse than a broken ankle ...... ? Anyway, I hope the orthopaedic specialist makes the right decision for you. Good luck!

Yes, hope the right decision is made soon, and that it won't be too bad for you:))) Hope you are not too squeamish when having to inject yourself, too!

As Sylvia says it does seem to be a complicated injury. Hope everything goes well when they make their decision. The decoration over the door sets it off beautifully
