I think that at one time British Telecom was trying to get rid of them all, but there were protests, so some have been retained and now have new phones in them.
This one's a bit different though. It's now owned by the village, and used as an "Honesty Library"! Local residents can bring the books that they've finished with and put them on the shelves in there, borrow other books and return those when they're finished with. | |
