Today we went on a walk in Dudley, much of which takes place along the canal towpath. It's called the Dudley Trail and it started 32 years ago; there are five routes: 6, 9, 12, 18 or 26 miles.

We didn't choose the four longer ones. (!)

But it was lovely; the sun shone, the birds were singing, it was hard to believe we were in the middle of the industrial Black Country.

This old bridge is no longer in use, but I did think it was pretty.

This looks like a great place to take a walk and lots of captures Pam. It does look like a nice day.

I looked back through some of your postings, as far as the new bus station, it will be open now, have you visited it again and maybe taken more captures?

Yes, I have visited it, no I haven't taken any more pics yet, nor of the other bit of our town that has been demolished. Changes are afoot! I'm also planning to get a series of photos of pubs in our area. As in many places pubs are closing; some are simply deteriorating while they wait for a new owner, others are being converted into something new - I know of one that is being converted into flats and one near to us will be a Co-op supermarket when it's finished. Watch this space! I'll get round to it eventually............... (Just been fighting an election - our main candidate won!)
