We recently visited the beautiful city of York and became tourists for a couple of days.
On the first day we went to what's left of the Castle Tower, which is on top of a small hill, accessed via a very steep, vertigo-inducing staircase. Not easy to get there, and there are more steps when you get up there but the views are worth it!
There's no roof on Clifford's Tower, but a day or so before our visit an art installation had been.............well, installed. They'd created a roof of umbrellas! Very pretty, not very practical, but nice to see!
