If you're in England, you may be a fan of The Archers, a radio serial that has been running continuously for nearly 60 years. In case you're not, you need to know that it began life as "an everyday story of country folk", (see
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Archers for more info). It's broadcast for fifteen minutes every day, each episode is repeated the next day, and on Sunday morning there is an omnibus edition, when you can hear all five episodes in one go.
It's something of a British institution.
This pub in Inkberrow, The Old Bull, is reputed to have been the base for the radio show pub, The Bull. It can't be the same place though; the radio pub is massive (I know, I've seen it in my mind), whereas this is tiny. If there were thirty people in there it would be packed!
