Pam's Fotothing

Last week our friend Kath was awarded the MBE (Member of the British Empire medal) for services to education. She's a "lollipop lady" who stops the traffic to let children cross the road safely to get to and from school, even though she's past the age when most people are happily retired.

It's a great honour; she was invited to Buckingham Palace to meet Prince Charles and receive her medal, and she invited over twenty friends to come with her, although most of us weren't allowed in the Palace! We saw her safely through the gates and then went for a walk in the park.

We caught a glimpse of Big Ben over there!
