Quand on parle du Nemrut, deux noms viennent immédiatement à l'esprit :
Commagène et Antioche 1er.
Le premier est le nom du royaume qui y fut créé dans la région en 162 av JC.L e second est le nom du roi qui se fit construire son propre mausolée sans savoir qu'il allait laisser un héritage culturel et historique, 2000 ans plus tard.

When mount Nemrut is mentioned, two other names immediatly come to mind - Kommagene & Antioch I...The first is the name of the empire founded in the area in 162 B.C & the second is the name of the king who had a mausoleum built for himself on the mountain, utterly unaware that he was leaving behind an historical & cultural heritage.
