This is a web cam photo from the Visitor's Centre at The Loch of the Lowes, of the female Osprey and her tiny babies less than 5 days old.
This is the Nest I have been up at all hours several times, to write down the progress of the arrival of the birds, eggs being laid and now the 3 eggs having been hatched.

I remember visiting Loch of Lowes very early one morning to look for Ospreys. There were Red Deer near the shore and pretty soon an Osprey came to the lake and took a fish...it was great.

The two chicks that survived are now fledged and are huge.
I go to L. of the Lowes once a week and work in the shop.
Supposedly to have time to sit and watch the red squirrels,
the various small garden birds and woodpeckers for a little while at
least, but it is a case of being on the go the whole time really.
However Everything came to a halt as we all ran to the window
to see the Pine Martin at one of the nut boxes...............WOW !!!
Fabulous excitement, during the day now,
used to be just the odd time in the evening.
It is hard to imagine the Pine Martin being a predator, but as long
as it/they don't kill all the birds.
It is just a most wonderful place and only 11 miles from where I live.
Some folks have all the luck eh? .....hehehe !
