Milt's Fotothing

Here is one of Rachel hanging out with her friends Adam Green and Kimya Dawson of Moldy Peaches. No matter where she goes, everyone seems to want to be with Rachel. She is that kind of kid. Before she knew what a musical instrument was, she attracted people like a flower attracts bees.

Some say stars are born and in Rachel's case, if one of the requisites for stardom is the ability to attract people to you without even trying, Rachel was born with that quality.

I envy Rachel the ability to pull people into her zone with a force that is apparently nothing she has to work to attain. As both a kid and an adult, sometimes my accomplishments would attract the attention of people but I could stand in the middle of the world's largest party and no one would ever notice that I was there. I always had to work like hell to make a friend -- like most people do, I suppose. The few "Rachels" in the world are the lucky ones and many of them take advantage of their ability to attract people to them. Rachel doesn't. She appreciates friends and is always accessible to them.

Perhaps it is for people like me that places like Fotothing were invented. I can be in contact with people without leaving my own room.

I just want to let you all know how much I appreciate your presence in my life. At least I am not afraid to say it.
