Pyramid ( Louvre - Paris)
Ieoh Ming Pei
Inaugurated on 30th March 1989, this pyramid of glass and iron serves as a perfect modern counterpoint to the light stone of the palace.Pei's pyramid is 21.6 metres high and is made of 673 panes of glass . It divides the faade of the palace into a multitude of kaleidoscopic views.
It leads to the basement, to the reception desk, the temporary exhibitions, the auditorium and the boutiques and restaurants.

The pyramid just doesn't seem to be in harmony with the palace. You were there Nora, what did you think?
