I'm a long way from home ... but some things should still be remembered
ANZAC Day (25 April) is observed in New Zealand as a day of commemoration for those who died in the service of their country and to honour returned servicemen and women.
Have a good ANZAC day, Roger.
One year ago I was in Auckland for that celebration. This year, we had some military manifestations in Papeete this NZealanders and Australians hosts.
The great thing about Kiwis, as we are scattered around the world, we never forget where we come from, who we are, what makes us who we are and what got us to the here and now; ANZAC Day is part of all of these things.
Kei a matou ware, (lest we forget).
