The trip up north .. a detour due to the previous days slips and flooding allowed for passage through Kawakawa. Famous only because Austrian Artist Friedensreich Hundertwasser settled nearby and agreed to design some Public Toilets .. being on a main tourist route up to Cape Reinga it gave the town the opportunity to attract tourists passing by.

No I didn't get any closer with the camera that would have just been odd !!!

Yes Svet .. the Far North can be a bit rough and ready .. if this hadn't been on the way up to the tip of the North Island (tourist spot) then the toilets wouldn't be here .. and the main attraction would probably the locals riding horses up and down the main tsreet :))
