HQN & Wifey - FYI - the whole seaway is 3700 km long the Montreal to Ontario section is 562 km with 7 locks and takes around 30 hours to travel (the whole seaway (130hrs ?) . This particular lock at St Catherine allows the vessels to rise 9 metres
