Beautiful shot of an amazing skyline. I believe the needle building (I don't know it's name) is the tallest building in the southern hemisphere? By the way I must add this to my favs.

Thank you for the add and yes I understand that at 328 metres the Sky Tower is the tallest freestanding tower in the Southern Hemisphere

Hi Midworlder and thanks for the comment (on my picture from inside the Eusebiuskerk). (Eusebius church).

Wow, thatīs a really impressive skyline. I must admit, I really hadnīt expected Auckland to be so Manhattan-like. I sort of expected it to look more like here :-)
But now I have read up a bit on both Auckland and New Zealand in general (on wikipedia). I had some vague idea that New Zealand was a bit like Iceland, only on the (almost) exact opposite spot on the globe. And I still think that, actually. But I saw that you (wikis, isnīt it)? -outnumber us by more than a factor of ten, so the skyscrapers shouldnīt have come as a surprise, really :-)
Anyway...very cool skyline!

Best regards,
Karl Trausti from Iceland
