There are at least 30 small beaches in 30 minutes drive of me in the main city, they all have some character especially at dawn. I think there are a lot of others around NZ that have more beauty. I can link some photos of ones I have taken around NZ if you want, or of course you can google

Kaiteriteri, Caroline Bay, Hot Water beach, karekare, Orewa, come to mind
