Merry Christmas everyone

I haven't found a good version of the Pohutukawa (NZ's chritmas tree) this year just not had the time. This one from Mellons Bay is the best so far but I would have liked to get a more "face on" version ... but it was high tide and that would have required wading about in sea with my camera not a favourite passtime ... but with a few free days coming up I think I can find a coastline blanketed in them.and hopefully it should be an awesome sight.

Thanks ... it's warm and muggy ..but overcast and rain due this afternoon :-((( not so good for the Xmas BBQ's but people will be indoors more today than other days .. so maybe it isn't that bad because the sun is due out for the rest of the week.

The pohutukawa tag ... I'll find a bit of coast blanketed in them in the next week or so hopefully ... I've decided not to go to the One Day Cricket game at Eden Park today ... instead a BBQ at a friends place and that game on TV ... along with the Boxing Day test from the MCG !!!
