amazing... we used to live next to the beach... never seen so "" big"" low tide...
England.... and Cardiff... my son in law specially drove us to the harbour to see
the lowtide.... :-)) our first trip overseas... 1998.... England and Wales..
it is not so deep in here...I think it is because out beaches and water are
deep... !!!

I know where you mean LizSA, I worked in Bristol for a while, near the Severn estuary, and the tides there are weird. I have to say tho, having experienced NZ for myself a couple of times now, there is just no substitute :-)
