Midworlder's Fotothing

Musick Point is named after pioneer aviator, Captain Edwin C Musick. The point provides spectacular views of the Waitemata Harbour and inner Hauraki Gulf.

I think it was the isolated location rather than the name that made it the main channel for radio communications in Auckland from the 1940's and a major part of wartime communications network
