I wonder if my Velcro pup will one day come to do visiting work. Saint Bernard’s are worriers; they genuinely care about people. I think she’d like moving from patient to patient for hugs and pats and belly scratches, in fact I’m sure of that, and she just makes people smile. Holly is well known in the village, and som...etimes the local school comes by the studio window on their outings to say hello.

I like to try to make these moments feel nostalgic. People come to me with old photographs that are covered in scratches, stains and tears, faded, discoloured and tinted by the sun, to have them restored. I like to leave mine as they are, and make new images look worn. Our memories might fade, but photos can last for a long time capturing a single moment in all of eternity. Photos help us to connect with the past and see the future we had before us.
