I haven´t posted any pictures in the last weeks because I was away for a while. The last three pictures were just to finish up the Iran series.

Today I´ll start posting pictures that I took while I was visiting a friend in Maranhão, which is at the northeast of Brazil. Maranhão is in an Equatorial transitional zone between the Amazon rainforest, the Cerrado savannahs and the Sertão semiarid. The coastal landscape can change from tropical rainforest to extremely widespread sand dunes and wetlands (like the picture).
This place is called in portuguese "Lençóis Maranhenses".
