The Bowker bridge , built in 1869 is the last of the original arched stone bridges to be seen on the old coach road to Central Otago and the early goldfields.
It is found on the Palmerston - Dunback road commonly called the ' Pigroot ' and crosses the McCormick Creek near Dunback.
