Back again ....
We were very fortunate to have won a lucky draw . The prize was two nights at the Chateau Tongariro in the midst of the central North Island's high volcanic mountains.
The Chateau is one of NZ's premier hotels and it is beautiful in this stunning location of the Tongariro National Park. Close by are the popular skifields of Mt Ruapehu.
It was opened in 1929 .
