Milford Sound was misnamed by the early explorers and should be called a Fiord .
The Bowen Falls cascading into the sea.

Wonderful shot of such a beautiful place. Simular to our coast here in western Canada.
We have an island called Bowen about a fifteen minute ferry ride away.

Welcome to Fotothing Margaret; always good to have another Kiwi on-board.
Milford is the one place in the South Island I haven't visited yet; ironically I may have to come back from Aussie to visit it as I am planning a move early next year.
