You find cool bugs! Too bad he was dead :( This is another variety of tiger moth similar to the white one previously.

pill bug, rollie pollies....I can't remember the real name of them. they are like short, fat, centipedes and if you touch them...they roll up into a ball. :) they eat dead or decaying matter.

Butterfly, thanks for the id! I probably have cool bugs because I live fairly close to a creek and river. I also don't spray for bugs unless necessary. I try natural things on them first. I've been out there with soapy water plenty of times for the aphids. :) I live too close to the creek (a spawning ground for salmon) that I just can't use the pesticides. Heck..I hardly used them before I lived here.

That's awesome that you don't use pesticides! It's better for the earth and saves the bees. I don't spray either...unless it's ants! Ants make me crazy. I have cats, so they eat anything hahah!! Me...I'm still on the catch and release plan if they get in the house.

If you find a wasp nest petrol poured in at night through a hose & left to vapourise will kill them by dawn.
Beautiful moth & nature at work.

T, I've seen folks do the gas thing on wasp nests. I won't get that close to them! :)
