An example of what I do on those machines. This is a design sewn with some of that thread on one of the machines. It is on a tote for my sister. Shhh...don't tell her. :)
The design I purchased from my favorite place, Embroidery Library. I do digitize my own designs but nothing as complicated as they do.
They take a lot of thread. This is why I have so much. :)

jamby, I made that wall rack for Denise, you are only seeing about 10% of her thread! She has thousands of spools, seriously! Many drawers as well as the large wall rack!

Benny, you should see my eagles. :) I might take a picture of this magazine rack that both doug and I made. He did the wood part and I did the fabric sides with the eagles. Fantastic, if I do say so myself. I don't use it for magazines though. I keep by my tv chair and keep my knitting in it. Nope...haven't done that in a while,either. LOL
